Barbara Gamper's artistic work encompasses performance, participation, somatics, and textile objects. She enjoys places of mutual fertilization, overlap, mixture, blur, transition, and change. In her research and practice, she tries to perceive her body as a permeable and fluid form — one that does not end at the skin — and expand this experience in connection with other (human and non-human) organisms and ecology. In the labyrinth garden of the Kränzelhof, she leads a somatic movement workshop to find new common rituals, in which breathing is the practice of connection and relationship, to oneself, others, and the environment.
